NASA Announces Plans to Colonize Mars, Then Immediately Realizes It Forgot to Pack Snacks

In a shocking turn of events, NASA announced today that it has realized it forgot to pack snacks for its upcoming mission to colonize Mars.

“We are stunned and embarrassed to admit this oversight,” said NASA spokesperson Jessica Johnson. “After years of planning and preparation, we have failed to include a critical component of any successful space mission: snacks.”

According to Johnson, the agency had carefully selected a team of astronauts, designed a space habitat, and developed specialized equipment and supplies for the mission. However, in the rush to finalize the packing list, the team overlooked the importance of snacks.

“Snacks are essential for maintaining morale and preventing boredom on long-duration space missions,” Johnson explained. “Without them, we could be facing some serious challenges on Mars.”

NASA officials are currently scrambling to find a solution to the snack crisis. Some have suggested that the astronauts could try to grow their own food using the habitat’s hydroponic garden, while others have proposed sending a resupply mission with additional snacks.

However, these solutions are not without their own challenges. Growing food on Mars will require significant time and effort, and a resupply mission would be costly and risky.

In the meantime, the astronauts will have to make do with the limited food supplies on hand. This includes the infamous “astronaut ice cream” that is commonly sold in space-themed gift shops.

“We know it’s not the most nutritious option, but it’s better than nothing,” Johnson said with a resigned sigh.

Despite the setback, NASA remains committed to its goal of establishing a permanent human presence on Mars. Officials have promised to learn from this mistake and take steps to prevent it from happening again on future missions.

“We may have forgotten the snacks, but we haven’t forgotten our mission,” Johnson said. “We will persevere, even without our beloved snacks by our side.”
