In another world I bet there is another version of EMToast where they have a section called Toast on TV. It’s pretty cool because they review all the good tv shows and you know which ones to watch. They used to have a thing like that called tv guide. I liked it. It was a small thick magazine and had all the tv listings for the week. It was sold in the impulse section of every store in America by the cash register. You could also check the listings in the newspaper but you missed out on the flashy gloss covers with the stars of the latest fall shows. I bet in the other world EMToast was a successful site that I didn’t have to pay for out of my own pocket. That other version was so successful they bought the rights to TV Guide and tried to bring over the paper magazine audience to their online website in 2008. Then the great recession hit and they nearly lost it all. They built back up a little, but then streaming came along and the people running the site just gave up. They started using AI robots to write all their tv reviews since they were too lazy to do any actual work on the site. Eventually they even started using AI art programs to do all their art because even the people who used to work on the site hated it so much they refused to do any art for it. Toast on TV was a total failure. Glad we never did that here.
