Ass Ponys: Favorite Albums We Forgot Existed
There are albums out there that we love. Albums we have listened to over and over again. Albums we have forgotten. Albums that for a brief moment were our favorite ever.
If we were to hear a song off one of these albums, we’d go, ” hey I know this!!” But wouldn’t even be able to name the band. It’s a shame and embarrassment that we all experience.
Luckily, these days it’s pretty easy to find out the name. Just slap a lyric into your little handheld iphone google search thingamabobber and find out the name.
But what happens if we never hear the song again? Chances are we’ve lost that music forever.
But sometimes we luck out and the favorite album we forgot about is hiding, buried behind a pile of jumper cables and zip cords in an old truck out in the garage. Fortune lets us find this hidden gem, aka Ass Ponys – Lohio, listen to it and realize how poor our human memory really is and become sad and nostalgic that there is probably a lot of good stuff that we have forgotten about.
that is so weird I just listened to Lohio! I cleaned out my car to take it in for repairs and took out my mp3 playah and this morning I had no music and I already listened to all the hand-me-down mix tapes from 1992 So I went searching and brought out a cd case from 2005 and found some forgotten gems, Ass Ponys, Ultra 80s vs Electro, and that one Zebrahead album

Not too long ago I came across and old tape, I purchased in New Orleans years ago by “Professor Longhair” a really need artist, with unusal music uniquely New Orleans, but have no way to play the tape now. It did make me look on utube where I found his old tunes. Check him out if you’ve never heard the guy–Great!!!
