Hasslehoff Arrested, Puppy Hostages Freed
HOLLYWOOD, CA – David Hasselhoff is at it again.
In a stunt that shocked Knight Rider viewers and animal rights activists alike, David Hasselhoff held two puppies hostage in a failed attempt to avoid a mandatory stint in rehab.
The events unfolded last week at Hasselhoff’s sprawling Hollywood estate, as stunned onlookers watched from the streets. “At, first, he was slurring his speech so badly, we thought he said he was going to strangle “puppets” if we didn’t leave.” reports Officer Jacob Freeman, who was on the scene. “That’s when he held up the puppies, and suddenly it clicked. We were pretty happy, though, because the idea of him strangling puppets was pretty unsettling”
Hasselhoff remained in his home for four hours, until former Baywatch Co-Star Pamela Anderson, an animal rights activist, arrived and threw her UGG boots at him, knocking him off balance and forcing him to release the puppies, who were quickly escorted to safety. PETA will be honoring Anderson for her quick thinking during a fund-raiser in Washington in October.
Hasselhoff is set to appear before a judge next month on charges of disorderly conduct.
