Nike Air BS Raises Hopes of Profit for Nike In ’09
BEAVERTON, Ore. (Dec. 21, 2008) – NIKE, Inc. (NYSE: NKE) today announced that they are expecting profits in the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2009 based upon the introduction of a new line of active footwear that is both innovative and green. The new Air BS line of shoes will have an entire sole made of Nike’s patented Air system. The new sole cuts down on materials required to produce the new product line. There is no midsole and no sole. Packaging is reduced and more shoes can be shipped in fewer shipping containers.
They’ll probably discontinue these just like they did the nike acg hikers that I used to like. I had an old pair of nike air boots from like 6 years ago. I put those suckers on to mow the lawn. They were the old kind that you could actually see the clear plastic air tubes in the side back of the shoes. Well somehow I blew out one of the tubes. Then I was walking all crooked trying to mow the lawn and it killed my back. It sucked too because they were really good boots that weren’t even that worn out. I guess from aging they got dry rot like the tires on an old 53 chevy that you don’t drive for 20 years then when you drive it ever tire thumps and blows out one by one.
that happened on my old bike once I got a double blow out and almost died right in front of Leeann’s house, what a worm.
